bubd when you live in one place for long enough, the the routine of your daily life and its accumulating memories start weaving themselves into a sort of impressionist, 2D tapestry of domesticity. it seems possible i heard the exact car in "night patrol," zooming away with all the others into my hazy memories of the teen-infested Madison summer night. eventually amidst the dread and delight of the Midwest you notice: standing on the woven rug your life has become, you find your feet have dipped in Favorite track: Daylight saving.

BenPujara Deeply transportative field recordings with ambient doodles atop them. A spellbook your heart reads. I wish I could have made this album. I am very thankful that Erik did. Favorite track: Hermit guardian angel.

Cardian Matsu I’ve listened to a decent amount of things that stretch towards the experimental side of sound. Harsh, abrasive, esoteric, that kind of thing.

Yet through all that, music like Erik Kramer’s ends up being the hardest to describe only by sound. Their albums seems more connected to a time and place, a feeling rather than anything else.

The American Midwest is defined by this sort of wistfulness, a love for nature and simplicity, and their music captures the positives of the area perfectly. Favorite track: Rain for the field.
